Class Fees as of June 2023:

Web Class Fee a: $98.00 paid online by credit/debit card (Payment instructions provided at time of registration).

Home Study Course Fee as of June 2023: $110.00 by credit/debit card online – Payment internet link will be sent to you upon registering for the Home Study Course.

Who Pays for the Class?

PDS Program fees are paid by class Participants. Unless you have been given other instructions by your Probation Officer or Referring Agency, you will need to pay the program fee to Personal Development Seminars (PDS) as described in the next section. If you have been advised that the referring agency is paying for your class, please contact us to confirm, 1-800-737-4803 or 1-800-775-3220.

Will DPS Accept a PDS Certificate for Driver's License Reinstatement?

PDS classes are often required by Prosecutors as a condition of a plea agreement and/or by Judges as part of a sentence, and as a condition of probation or parole.

PDS classes are not the same as the Drug Offender Education Program or the DWI Education Program that is sanctioned by the Texas Dept of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)

If your Driver's License has been suspended due to a DWI or Drug Offense conviction, Do Not expect the Texas Dept. of Public Safety (DPS) to accept your PDS certificate of completion for the purpose of reinstatement.

The Texas Transportation Code states:

Section 521.374 - Educational Program Or Equivalent Education

(a) A person whose license is suspended under Section 521.372 may:
(1) successfully complete an in-person or online educational program, approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation under Chapter 171, Government Code, that is designed to educate persons on the dangers of substance misuse ; ...(Click here to read this section of the code in full) 
 

Participants are often required to complete a PDS program to satisfy the Court and a TDLR program to satisfy the DPS.

Registering for a class

Online: To register for a class click here. PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY AND PREPARE FOR CLASS IN ADVANCE TO AVOID PROBLEMS WITH JOINING AND COMPLETING YOUR SCHEDULED CLASS.

By Phone: Call PDS 1-800-775-3220 ext 1.  A Program Coordinator is available Mon. through Fri. 9AM to 5PM (Central Time) Callers who leave a voicemail will receive a return call within 48 hours. Please ensure that you leave a phone number including area code for a working phone that has a voicemail that is functional in case we have to leave you a message. 

Paying for a clas

Payment Options:

Pay Online by credit card. PDS will provide you with an internet link to the pay site, sent by text or email OR on screen during the online Self-Registration. PDS class fees are processed through PayPal however you DO NOT have to have or use a PayPal Account. At the pay site, you will be given the option to pay with a debit or credit card if you prefer.

What if I miss class or have to reschedule for some reason?
If you fail to attend the class you were scheduled for, you can call to be rescheduled for the next class and an additional $20.00 reset fee will be added to your class fee. If you call to reschedule at least 48 hours prior to class, no reset fee will be added.

Can I get a refund if I no longer need the class?

PDS has a No Refund policy that takes effect when we provided access to class materials and schedule a class date, to reserve a space for you in the class. If you need to reschedule or have other questions please call PDS at 1-800-775-3220 Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm. 

What if I lost my certificate or need another copy?
A replacement copy of your certificate of completion may be available to purchase up to 12 months after you have completed your class. A faxed or emailed copy can be purchased by calling 800-775-3220 ext.2, M-F 9AM to 5PM.

All PDS class types are being conducted using our live, remote Interactive Web Class using Zoom or a Home Study Course (for those who lack required internet/device or disabilities preventing participation in a live, remote class format). please contact us 1-800-737-4803 or 1-800-775-3220.
